IPENZ Foundation Scholarships

2011 Winners

The Foundation Trustees are delighted to award six Scholarships in 2011.

The first, a national Scholarship, is awarded to Jakov Biondic, a student from Westlake Boys High School, who will be studying for a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at the Auckland University of Technology.

Five other scholarships have been awarded: in 2011 these were co-funded by the Auckland, Canterbury, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki and Waikato/Bay of Plenty IPENZ Branches. Nelson-Marlborough Branch also provided funding for a co-funded scholarship, but unfortunately there was no suitable candidate from their region this year.

The five other successful students are:

Annie Scott, a student from St Cuthbert’s College in Auckland, who will be studying for a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at the University of Auckland, was awarded an IPENZ Foundation / Auckland Branch co-funded Scholarship.

Alex Kendall, a student from Christ’s College in Christchurch, who will be studying for a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at the University of Auckland, was awarded an IPENZ Foundation / Canterbury Branch co-funded Scholarship.

Brett Sceats, a student from Lindisfarne College in Hawkes Bay, who will be studying for a Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Commerce (co-joint) at the University of Auckland, was awarded an IPENZ Foundation / Hawkes Bay Branch co-funded Scholarship.

Sam Mitchell, a student from New Plymouth Boys High School, who will be studying for a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at the University of Canterbury, was awarded an IPENZ Foundation / Taranaki Branch co-funded Scholarship.
